The Director, Dr. Andrews, has 31 years of clinical experience and is recognized as an expert witness for parenting evaluations in multiple Massachusetts Juvenile Courts, psychological examinations in Worcester Massachusetts Probate and Family Court, neuropsychological assessments in Worcester County Superior Court, and child bonding evaluations in Boston Massachusetts Federal Court and multiple Juvenile Courts.
Dr. Andrews specializes in forensic psychological evaluations and educationally related neuropsychological and psychoeducational testing evaluations. His practice focuses exclusively on testing and assessment. Dr. Andrews has several niche testing and assessment areas including parenting and psychological evaluations of adults in child protection matters; bonding and psychological evaluations of children in preadoption and custody matters; risk and dangerousness assessments of children, adolescents, and adults; fitness for duty assessments for employees; competency to stand trial, juvenile competency to stand trial; competency to proceed in a judicial proceeding; evaluation of criminal responsibility (not guilty by reason of insanity); competency to consent to treatment; competency in guardianship and testamentary matters; fitness to operate a motor vehicle, fitness to possess a firearm; medical certification of disability exceptions in immigration and naturalization matters.
In addition to forensic evaluations, Dr. Andrews also provides neuropsychological and psychoeducational testing evaluations (ages 3 to adulthood). Reasons for referral often involve eligibility determination for an Individualized Educational Program (IEP) or 504 plan, eligibility determination for nonstandard testing accommodations, eligibility determination for social security disability, eligibility determination for employment accommodations, and special education program evaluations.
